Debrecen gives home to Hungary’s biggest Jewish community outside Budapest. Though the number of Jewish citizens has radically decreased in the city after the Holocaust, Debrecen’s Jewish community is still active and preserves its rich cultural heritage. On this tour we take a walk in Debrecen’s Jewish district exploring the community’s memorials and buildings including the two surviving synagogues.
