Debrecen gives home to Hungary’s biggest Jewish community outside the capital city, Budapest. Though the number of Jewish citizens has radically decreased in the city after the Holocaust, Debrecen’s Jewish community is still active and preserves its traditions.
On this tour we take a walk in Debrecen’s city center and the Jewish district exploring Debrecen’s rich Jewish heritage. The tour includes a visit in the Pásti Street Synagogue.
